2019 Event Schedule

It’s live! Visit the 2019 TPCiP event schedule and check out the “Sched” app (App Store, Google Play) for your viewing convenience.

Get tickets while prices are still low!

Early-bird pricing ends on May 15th! It’s just $275 right now but after May 15 the event ticket price goes up to $385.00.

There is also a Golden Ticket option that comes with perks including a free hotel room upgrade, a free conference bag, special recognition on the event website and during the conference! The cost for a Golden Ticket is $500.00.

Both early-bird and Golden Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite http://bit.ly/tpciptickets.

The main 3-day conference event is on June 17-19, 2019! The conference will be in Pittsburgh, PA with optional master-class tutorial sessions offered on June 16, 20, and 21.

Here’s the lineup:

June 16:

Practical Perl 6 with Jeff Goff (full day) $115

Introduction to Git (even for non-developers!) with John Anderson (half day) $65

Setting you up the bomb: interactive git rebase for the win with John Anderson (half day) $65

June 20:

 Introduction to Go with Dave Rolsky (full day) $165

 Programming the web with Dancer with Sawyer X (full day) $65

June 21:

 Introduction to Moose with Dave Rolsky (full day) $165
(This is the last class ‘Introduction to Moose’ Dave plans to offer so don’t miss it!)

Hotel Room Reservations

Blocks of rooms are on hold for our attendees but you must have your room secured no later than May 14th to get the room rate of $129/night.

Event “day-of” Volunteers wanted

We need volunteers to help things run smoothly at TPCiP. We’re looking for help with the registration desk, room moderators / time keepers, runner, videographers, and setup/cleanup crew.

Birds of a Feather (BoF) event registration

Do you have a gathering you’d like to host? Do you need room space to do that? We’d love to help! By registering your BoF early you can guarantee the most visibility through promotion. Registration does not guarantee room assignment. Rooms will be reserved for BoFs on a first come, first served basis. Registration submissions will be accepted until June 1st. Submit your BoF information today.

Ever wonder how The Perl Conference events are organized? TPCiP organizers are meeting on May 14 to continue working out the event details. Feel free to join us! You can simply observe or, even better, help us in our planning.

Often the organizers are able to link a sponsor directly to an event at the conference ( wifi, coffee break, etc )  where the cost of the event is in line with the donation amount.
